Meet William T. McCullough, MD, FAANS

Trust Dr. William McCullough, a seasoned neurological surgeon and active member of both the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
His academic journey includes a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Knox College in 1990. Driven by a passion for medicine, he discovered his calling in Neurosurgery during his time at St. Louis University School of Medicine.
Graduating in 1997 with a Doctor of Medicine with Distinction in Research, he remained at SLU for his residency and subsequent Vascular fellowship in Neurological Surgery.

Diagnosis
Dr. McCullough takes the time to personally speak with you about the issues you are experiencing and possible reasons for your condition. Whether you have acute or chronic neck or back pain or even possibly a tumor of the brain or spine, Dr. McCullough's first concern is getting you the information required to make educated choices relative to your specific situation. After full discussion, testing is scheduled in order to obtain your most recent information. This may include a CT, MRI, angiogram, myelogram, discogram, flexion-extention Xray, or any combination of those.
Treatment
Dr. McCullough networks with a number of practitioners and facilities to provide the most up-to-date technology and the best staff suited to care for you. He employs the most conservative methods possible to treat your condition, and does not feel rushing into surgery is the only option. Referrals for physical therapy and pain management are just a couple of examples of preliminary care taken before surgical intervention is recommended.
